Cost saves, control, simplicity and flexibility

Why the need?

  • IgnatioCMS was developed by developers who wanted a CMS that worked for them providing a stable, simple, flexible and extensible platform on which they could design and build applications, not just websites.
  • These same developers have used Open Source CMS and proprietary platforms and still had not found a framework that covered the majority of requirements to build applications with ease.

Why the need...

  • Ever wished that a module or component had been designed in such a way that it cleanly joined with a new feature without having to code around the problem or worst still having to completely start from scratch?
  • So why would you write your own CMS when you can start using IgnatioCMS today?
  • Do you really need to write every application in-house to gain benefits of control?

Why the need...

  • IgnatioCMS out of the box provides you with the flexibility to design and develop online applications from a simple and flexible platform that you control.
  • Develop your own modules and plug-ins to deliver the additional bespoke functions that you require.
  • IgnatioCMS is not just for developing websites but is a framework for building applications.
  • You decide what that application is and how it is implemented.

What architecture is IgnatioCMS based on?

  • IgnatioCMS is built using a mix of PHP, SQL and AJAX to render a template based XHTML, JavaScript and CSS with the help of an object oriented PHP framework.
  • The lightweight Ignatio PHP framework has been built from scratch and offers the functionality for fast development of web applications without being as over-engineered as many other frameworks on the market.

What architecture is IgnatioCMS based on...

  • Using the Ignatio PHP framework the CMS can be easily extended in two ways. Firstly, with plug-ins - small dynamic elements consisting of a PHP script and (if needed) a template file and then patched into the CMS’ rendering loop. Secondly, with modules for more complex applications such as blogs, web shops, forums and so on which can make use of the framework's features.

Where is the application hosted?

  • Hosted on Ignatio's data centre - A Tier 1 fibre connected data centre which is air conditioned, environmental and CCTV monitored, fully alarmed with secure and restricted access.
  • Employs only CISCO managed switches and security devices.
  • A separate private fibre optic backbone that links to another local data centre providing redundancy / failover and fast off site backup and storage facilities.

Where is the application hosted...

  • Ignatio framework applications are hosted on secure and fully redundant servers. We have immediate physical access to our servers at both data centres which ensures that we are onsite to deal with any incidents that may occur.
  • Ignatio is directly responsible for server maintenance and upkeep; there are no dependencies on 3rd parties to service our servers and the software that resides on them.
